Come along and join us as we fly over some of the less known sights in New Orleans. During the 30 Mile Tour City + Swamp you are going to fly over an abandoned theme park, see a NASA rocket building facility, see the Lake Borgne Surge Barrier, and fly over the swamps along Lake Borgne.
Flying back towards the city you will pass by the Chalmette Battlefield, as well as flying over Arabi, the Lower 9th Ward, the Bywater, the Marigny and the French Quarter.
The French Quarter, also known as the Vieux Carre or by locals simply as “the quarter” is the historical center of New Orleans, and encompasses sites such as Jackson Square, the St. Louis Cathedral, the French Market as well as Bourbon Street.
As we fly around New Orleans you will also get close up views of the cruise ship terminal, the Crescent City Connection Bridge, the Central Business District, the Smoothie King Center and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Included in the 30 Mile Tour is a flight over City Park. New Orleans City Park has been enchanting New Orleanians for generations. This park is home to the New Orleans Museum of Art, Louisiana’s Children’s Museum, the Bayou Oaks golf course and more. Next door to City Park is the Fair Grounds, home to the Louisiana Derby as well the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
